XMCD is an award winning, top loading Exposure cd player, made in England. A magnetic clamp keeps the CD flat to reduce error and improve overall performance.
DESIGN
The top-loading mechanism features a sliding lid and comes with a magnetic clamp to hold the CD flat, reduce errors and provides a tactile experience similar to a vinyl record.
Exposure has implemented engineering to get the optimum sound quality from its design, including a crystal clock reference and dedicated power supply regulator for the transport and audio stages, ensuring low jitter performance.
POWER SUPPLY
A large toroidal power transformer has separate windings for CD transport mechanism and audio stages, and the all-aluminium casework and extruded front panel help to control unwanted resonance. The CD display can be turned off using the supplied remote control.
SYSTEM BUILDING
Paired with the spectacular XMHP headphone/preamplifier and a pair of the XM9 mono block amplifiers, the XM system delivers power and sublime musicality in a compact British made design.
