The Guru 12 is a stand-mount that thinks it's a floorstander, and it asks more of whatever holds it up. The Standpoint 12 answers with the same three-piece solid-oak tripod and single fixing as the rest of the range — sized, this time, to the Guru 12's larger cabinet.
A top plate cut for the Guru 12 — and nothing else.
The aluminium top plate is machined to the Guru 12's own 322 × 278 mm footprint, so the speaker sits flush and centred over the legs and couples cleanly to its isolating feet. Same idea as the Standpoint 8, a different plate — because the two speakers don't share a base.
Tripod stability, no spikes.
Three points can't rock, so the stand sits solid and level on any floor, with no spikes to bury in your hardwood and no vibration path Guru's engineers didn't intend. The compact tripod tucks close to the wall, where the Guru 12 wants to be.
Stockholm minimalism, made by hand.
Solid oak — not veneer — hand-shaped and joined with anodized aluminium, in natural Oak or a deep Dark Grey Oak. It reads as furniture first, hi-fi second. Sold as a pair, with hardware; minutes to assemble.
