Ground Separation, Borrowed From the Flagship Preamp
The A3 brings the P-3's GND separation technology to its power amplification: complete separation of the left and right channel grounds — via non-feedback circuits and optimised layout — eliminates the ground loops and interference that quietly rob systems of clarity, opening up a wide, stable soundstage. Isolated control signals reinforce that channel-to-channel purity.
Monoblock Muscle, Passive Volume
Each channel runs a single push-pull SEPP output stage with TO3 bipolar transistors for timing accuracy, fed by two 700 VA unimpregnated toroidal transformers with SiC rectifier diodes and minimal filtering for high-speed response. Volume is handled passively — a resistor-switching control with custom relays and foil resistors keeps active electronics entirely out of the signal path. The amplifier block floats on titanium sliders, and a volume-bypass mode (fixed 22 dB gain) turns it into a pure power amp. 120 watts per channel into 4 ohms.
