About the Ophidian Mambo 2 Floorstanding Speakers
Ophidian Mambo 2: three small drivers behind one narrow front, so the bass has depth and the room keeps its floor
The Mambo 2 is a 2.5-way floorstander 893 mm tall and 158 mm wide. Two 115 mm coated-paper drivers on the baffle share the midrange and bass, and a third 115 mm bass driver hidden inside adds low end only, so a slim tower has the cone area of a wider one. The Aeroflex channel is built into the cabinet structure, which stiffens the panels of a narrow box and gives it a rated low-frequency limit of 38 Hz.
What is inside
A 27 mm Sonolex-coated fabric dome on a neodymium motor handles the top, with the same tweeter fitted to the Mojo 2. Magnetic grilles come off without tools. At 10 kg each it goes where a floorstander usually cannot.

Small rooms and modern ones. Ophidian recommends 40 to 160 W; at 87 dB and 4 ohms it is a flexible partner.
