The figures
Three numbers, and what each one is for.
Three black anodised aluminium cones with copper shorting rings, so bass stays controlled as the drive increases.
In its own sealed enclosure, so voices are shaped by the driver and not by whatever the woofers are doing behind it.
Efficient for a three-way; Ophidian recommends 50 to 250 W.

About the Ophidian Incanto Floorstanding Speakers
Ophidian Incanto: three woofers, one midrange in its own box, and the reason is the voices
The Incanto is a three-way floorstander that succeeds the P3 Evolution, which Hi-Fi Choice made an Editor's Choice, and it borrows the Voodoo's tweeter and design thinking in a mid-sized cabinet. Three 175 mm black anodised aluminium woofers, each with a copper shorting ring to keep the motor linear as the drive rises, work into one Aeroflex channel, so the bass is deep and stays controlled at volume. The rated low-frequency limit is 36 Hz.
Why the voices
A 50 mm soft-dome midrange sits in its own sealed enclosure, untouched by what the woofers are doing behind it, which is why voices come through whole. Above it is the 22 mm Sonomex soft dome fitted to the Voodoo. The crossover uses Mundorf air-cored coils and metal-oxide resistors. Magnetic grilles; real wood veneer in oak or walnut; 24 kg each.
Where it lives
Medium to larger rooms. At 89 dB and 4 ohms it is efficient for a three-way; Ophidian recommends 50 to 250 W, and reviewers suggest it is not the speaker for a low-powered valve amplifier.
